Album Notes
Basca was born 18 years ago, formed by a few friends who wanted to play rock. They have studying at music school when the band was born.
At the beggining everything was so hard, every practice with acoustic guitars, they have used chairs like a drum kit. Basca played with their friend's instruments. The first line-up was with Paulo Freire and Bolivar Guachichulca (guitars), Juan Pablo Hurtado (vocals), Xavier Calle (Bass) and Franklin Perez (Drums).
In 1994 Basca has songs like Milica, Basura, Andate and Ultratumba, that they comes in a legendary songs in Ecuador. For the first album, Basca had to change their drummer, Geovanny Sagbay came to the band and Basca recorded "Hijos de...". "Hijos de..." received good critics and opinions. It was made and recorded in Cuenca, M1 Studio.
After that Basca started to play in each city in Ecuador, cities like: Quito, Guayaquil, Loja, Ambato, Riobamba, Ibarra, etc. Like a gift, they decided to record a live album, "Hijos de... en vivo".
In 2000 Basca started to recorded their third album "Tierras Nefastas", with the same style like "Hijos de...", and as soon it was possible they started a new tour.
In this process Basca was affected by problems with their members, someones left Basca, and herre started a new period for them.
With a new line-up with Paúl Moscoso (guitars), Guillermo Rodríguez (drums) and the old ones Juan Pablo y Xavier, Basca have played for a years. With the time Leandro Jara (Guitars) joined it.
A new project was comming, but new problems, Guillermo has to left Basca. Basca don't stop and saw a new drummer, Paulo Gallegos.
