ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"BateRebate" is the result of two great musicians who celebrate a union that goes beyond the fact that they belong to the same family. The versatility and unique sound reflects the duo's musical baggage acquired during several years and the endless creative possibilities generated by the dialogue between classic guitar and piano. Descendants of Arabs, the two brothers Taufic cultivate a love for music since they were children.
In Dois Irmãos’s performance can be found a touch of Brazil, a multi-ethnic flavor, a pinch of jazz in a repertoire made out of original compositions seasoned with much imagination and improvisation.

"Two brothers as rarely seen. They show us just how much they love each other through their chords, melodies, silences, gestures, tears, laughter and musical guffaws. And they converse in such a beautiful way, with a crystal clear love that flows from heart to heart without interference or filters.
The voice of their instruments is natural, necessary and clear: sound that beats, sound that responds, resonates and resonates again in the soul of the listener. This is good music, made with lots of love, talent, attention, rigor and spontaneity."
André Mehmari (São Paulo - Brazil)

"Brothers Roberto and Eduardo, twins in music, are simply genius. Only twins can play, breathe, transpire and play with such a range of dynamics as they are capable of doing in their concerts. It's an honor for the entire Brazilian music world to see that Brazil produces such amazingly talented musicians. I hereby declare myself a complete fan of these accomplished twins in both in their musicality and sensibility."
Roberto Menescal (Rio de Janeiro - Brazil)

"The Album Bate Rebate has got a magic and happy balance. It surprise and touches me deeply.
The perfect harmony between delivering and happiness, emotion and technique, well-educated and popular, finesse and spontaneity. In other words, the rarely found qualities, only present in masterpieces." (Gabriele Mirabassi)

"Bate Rebate; Very, very great music and played by two people in "oneness", harmony! Technically superb but what's almost more important to me: so "freely running, smooth, fresh, jazzy inspired with Brazilian flair - none of you tries to stay in the fore!
I see words are inappropriate with feelings and as we all know: music needs no words …."
Carlotta Hoffmann (Brema - Germany)

"A sofisticação do primeiro CD autoral do duo Taufic reside no talento. Base e solo. Sons comungados, unidos na afinação e no improviso. Regionalismos que escapam sorrateiros ao campo universal. Riqueza no simples, e no simples, o requinte.
