"The reason you should listen, is her voice. Controlled but soulful, clear but timbrally modulated, with a burnished, beautiful tone across her whole range, this is a voice worth seeking out. Acoustic folk song and Americana, of a relatively conventional kind, but performed to perfection." Live Unsigned
"Bella's voice, charm and piano playing ability all combined to create an effortless performance able to relentlessly hold anybody’s and everybody’s attention. With an impressive vocal range, sang beautifully about topics from romance to societal observation, to a wholly silent audience, a testament to her appeal. When a singer so young can emote so successfully through her music it’s really something to behold, Bella Mckendree is a musician well worth making an effort to see; I promise you’re missing out if you don’t." Music Earth Rise
In between performing and writing, Bella has been working with producer Martin Wright (Ronnie Wood, Reef, Days of Worth) for the last year on material for her future debut release. They have recorded 'Follow The River' as a taster for what will appear in the future. "This is me and my piano, nothing more. People can listen as if they are sat beside me.”
As a child Bella was surrounded by gospel music and in her teens began classically singing. Jeff Buckley has greatly influenced her singing style which is particularly noticeable in ‘Precious’ and ‘Love Her’. Other artists she admires are Tori Amos and Ray LaMontagne.
