Album Notes
This is a production that captures some of the traditional songs for the deities of Dominican vodoun, also known as the 21 Divisions. This album features the style know as palos or atabales which is the most wide spread style in the Dominican Republic. There are many variations of palo drumming throughout the island, this production features styles from San Cristobal, San Juan de la Maguana and the Cibao region.
