ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Benny Bell (1906-1999) was one of the wackiest, most resilient musical comics ever to come out of Vaudeville and the Borscht Belt. Now he’s back on a brand new CD compilation, "Benny Bell A to P," with 20 novelty songs, all written and performed between the 1940s and the 1960s by the bawdy Brooklyn legend himself. This compilation was lovingly put together by his grandson, Joel Samberg, whose new book, "Grandpa Had a Long One: Personal Notes on the Life, Career and Legacy of Benny Bell," is a must-read for all fans. Buy it at amazon.com.

The world needs more of Benny Bell
A fun, funny, loving--and in this day and age, MUCH NEEDED compilation. There's no one out there like Benny Bell. And there was no one quite like him before. That's why this is such a timely addition to anyone's CD library... in either the music, comedy, vaudeville or Borscht Belt categories!
