Bernie Alan, the young, vibrant, self-taught accordion player hails from the Oberlin, Louisiana area. He grew up listening to Cajun, Zydeco, Country, Rock-A- Billy, R&B and just about anything else with a beat. Bernie’s newest release, ‘AS I RIDE’ is his first solo release. He has recorded two previous C.D’s with other groups that have featured his talents as a rising star. ‘Big Ol’ Frog’, ‘You’ve Got Me by The Heart’ and ‘Choo-Choo Train’ are some of his original works that grab his audience’s attention and pull them into his joy and love of all music. Charm and appeal, combined with his genuine musical talents, make Bernie a popular performer to all ages.
Bernie has played in Branson, Missouri at Cedric Benoit Mardi Gras Festival, the Gumbo Festival in Ville Platte, Louisiana, the Jim Bowie Festival in Vidalia, Louisiana and the Rice Festival in Katy, Texas with Wayne Toups and Zydecajun.
Bernie’s first C.D. as a solo artist, ‘AS I RIDE’ features all original songs written by Bernie Alan, Danny White, Burton Gaar and George Hollinshead all of whom are established song writers with credits on Country, Blues, Cajun and Zydeco albums. ‘AS I RIDE’ is available from Sound Ventures Records and CD Baby as well as many commercial outlets.
