B Free was musically deprived as a child. In fact, it wasn't until 7th grade that he finally realized his love for music and picked up his first instrument, the electric bass. He formed a punk band with his friends and never looked back. Since then he's been exposed to everything from metal, to jazz, to rnb, to pop and everything in between.
Although he'd always sang growing up and loved to do so, he never took it seriously until he sang in his first band in high school. After that first experience of playing shows in front of a crowd, B Free went on to play in several bands around the fresno area.
After leaving Fresno State and having fronted 3 failed bands, he decided to take to singing solo. Around this time he'd went to Live Music City, where he met hiphop artists Halo the Human and Bravo Diablo. He later went on to be featured in several songs on their California Galaxy project.
After working with several up and coming hiphop acts like Halo the Human and Omar Aura, B Free started work on his solo RnB driven project called "Communique." The first single from the project features guitarist Jaime Martinez and is called "AMPM." "Communique" was released in early 2013.
