ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
What is one to do when life's questions require yes or no answers but yes or no just seems impossible? Make an album! This album is for anyone who has ever not known what to do. So what I mean to say is, this album is for everyone. The songs on "Actually" are the result of a mind not quite sure how to go about faith, action, or committed love. I made a decision early on to be vulnerable and as completely honest as I could be when it came to my lyrics. So it's not all happy, but it's real. I think everybody goes through times in their lives when they are less confident than they'd like to be in their own decisions. My hope is that this shows you're never alone in that. There is always someone else struggling through similar things or struggling in a similar way...

Every song was its own adventure for me when producing this album. I chose to do all the song-writing, recording, and mixing on my own and with my own equipment, which means I was stretching my sound-engineering skills at the same time I was stretching my compositional know-how. I recording in a few different locations with a variety of instruments and in a variety of moods. To try to make all these places and sounds fit together was a challenge, but the album as it is tells a story that I hope will take people to all kinds of places in their memories and/or imagination.
