Alternative Punk with an Indian Cultural Twist
Hauntingly erie CD. This music moves your inner soul like no other. Excellent song writing with a spiritual message which touches on a musical style that is different from anything you will hear on the radio.Wonderful haunting voice really compliments the hooks of this wonderful band.
Highly recommended.

Powerful Music!
I heard a couple of cuts from this CD on KVMR, Nevada City. I was moved by the message I heard and I am glad to own the CD and be able to hear all that Blackfire has to say. The music behind the words is well done, also.

A powerful cry for the people.
A powerful cry for the people. Weaving compassion for those whose voices are silenced by years of oppression with bone-crushing musicianship, this true punk band, touched with Native American musical elements, screams from the heart of Dine' (Navajo) Country, where at this very moment people are fighting to keep their land and lives intact in the wake of "manifest destiny" and the ever oppressive coal and gas industry. With a little help from Joey Ramone, Blackfire delivers a powerful performance with penetrating messages and stunning conviction. Once you hear them, the political origins of the punk genre take on a new dimension; you'll suddenly understand what it has been missing.

I'm not surprised that Joey Ramone was here !!!

for all who are oppressed
saw them in concert in flagstaff, although acoustic, their message and spirit riveted my soul with a new flame, renewed courage. the lyrics speak of the souls crying out of all those who are oppressed, specifically native americans. the drumbeat and chords cry out the prayers of those who have gone. those who have been sleeping, this will wake ya, if not, ressurection is futile. peace out.

Excellent!!!
This cd is soooo good. I love the music. It is so beautiful put together with the pain of people and the heart-strung words that are used to express it. I love this cd and this effort is nothing short of amazing!!!

rugu

This CD caries strong messages and the artists skills clearly shine. very different in style from the 'woody guthrie' album, but every bit as good. i would highly reccomend purchasing any of their works
