Album Notes
Black And Brown United

"Black And Brown United" originated in 1997. The group consists of two members. Wayland Harris (Waylo) born in Maryland, and Tim Carrillo (Tim O.T.) born in Colorado. We met at a dead end job in Boulder, CO. We started hanging out on our lunch breaks freestyling over the latest music we purchased during the same break at the local mall. Both of us have always had a love for Hip Hop and happen to have similar taste in music. Waylo was the lone producer for the group until 2000 when Tim O.T. started producing beats of his own. We have formed our own production company called Rocky Mountain Gumbo Productions. We're currently working on a compilation album with local MC's, showcasing our beats. You could describe our sound as an early 90's era vibe with a touch of Jazz and Neo-Soul. That's not to say we can't make beats that sound west coast or some banging club joints, it's just that we prefer the vibe. Our lyrical style could be classified as conscious rap but we like to think that we just try to say stuff that people can relate to. We try to stay away from the Bling, Bling, shoot 'em up, bang, bang topics. Through the years we've been inspired by artists such as Pete Rock, DJ Premier, J. Dilla, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, The Roots, Lone Catalysts, Hi-Tek, Little Brother and too many others to name.

Love the beats
My top choice would be "Reality"

This CD is Hot!!!
If your tired of the same ol "hip hop" you hear on the radio then give this CD a listen. I promise you won't be disapointed. My favorite song has to be "Liez".
