ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“[Alternating] stark declamation with florid screaming psychosis, and punky fast fours with elaborate and challenging rhythms…[Blitzkriegbliss] sound like nobody else, ever. Maybe if Diamanda Galás had fronted Romeo Void, or Patti Smith were possessed by Nina Hagen, but not in this reality…The singer does just about everything imaginable with her voice except actually sing: she declaims poetically and quasi-tunefully a la Patti Smith, she squeals, she yips, and she rips out the most mind-blowing don't-mind-me-I've-just-been-gargling-with-ground-glass shrieks and screams I've ever heard. Masterful!” – Steve Gisselbrecht, The Noise

Blitzkriegbliss, formed in Boston in early 2004, have been described as a mix of the roaring of PJ Harvey, the bleak melody of Joy Division, and the prowl and spit of The Velvet Underground.

Dead Puppy Records

OH MY GOD!
this is the best cd I've gotten in a long time.... in a world where so much of the radio is basically crap and everything sounds the same it's a shame that something that would fit so well in a past decade can be considered NEW. PJ HARVEY, NINA HAGEN, PATTI SMITH, WENDY O WILLIAMS all of these girls have done this before but honestly I'm finding myself wondering if BLITZKRIEGBLISS has surpassed all of them..... If you want to listen to real music. Buy this cd. If you want to listen to the same old safe shit the radio plays and mtv plays. don't.

True rock once again has risen
This is an album worthy of recongition. I maen Blitzkriegbliss is what needs to be heard over the radios..Rock today has lost its edge, its bite, its originality, and its creativity. Ehat I love about this band is the fact that they go all out in its delivery. I thought rock was dead forgood until I heard this group. Man let me tell you they have restored my faith once again in rock. God bless them. Can't wait for their future albums. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE BUY!!!!!!!! If you love rock that doesn't hold back then this is for you.
