ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
On this live CD, the "Godfather of Funk" Clyde Stubblefield, and Wisconsin's slide guitar master, Howard "Guitar" Luedtke join forces to make some great funky electric blues music.

This recording contains program transferred from cassette tape to DAT and therefore may contain some tape hiss, dropouts and other anomalies that exist with live two-track analog recordings (i.e. Sweet Home Chicago's intro). But, otherwise this CD "Kick's Butt"!!

Howard "Guitar" Luedtke at his best.
There's noting better than seeing Howard and Blue Max live and this disk captures the essence of his live performance. I've been to many of Howard's shows an both Minnesota and Wisconsin and there nothing like it. Howard truly has the blues in his soul!

Howard and Blue Max are the best blues band around!
This CD featured Clyde Stubblefield. What a CD it is! I love his version of Mustang Sally and with Howard's guitar going, you can't help but move when it's playing. Deb is awesome on the bass, which ties everything together. Also, Sweet Home Chicago is one of my favorites on this CD. You have to hear them live....a CD is great, but doesn't do them justice. When you see them live...you'll be hooked! They're awesome!

Great Blues Artist. Need more of Howard's work.
Good example of a variety of styles. Great guitar work.
