Joy Deep as Sorrow

by Bob Bennett

Warm vocals, precise fingerstyle guitar, eleven newly recorded songs. Bob again collaborates with Producer-Extraordinaire Roy Salmond ("Christmastide", Carolyn Arends, Steve Bell). His Mom thinks the album is really swell. Hopefully you will too!

Album Notes
This is my twelfth album (depending on how you count 'em). This time 242 Kickstarter Backers contributed just over $15,000.00 to assist with the finishing costs for recording, mixing, and mastering as well as artwork development and CD manufacture. I couldn't be more fortunate. As for the songs/recordings, it's always an Artist's job to say, "This could be my very best." Tempted as I am, I know that determination is always with listeners. I can say that, although I'm always enthusiastic about my work, "Joy Deep as Sorrow" has been a whole 'nother thing for me. Roy's contributions are spectacular throughout. I got to cover my absolute favorite Steve Bell song, and also finally do my own take of a song Jon Bulller and I wrote, which he recorded and released first. All in all, I'm incredibly grateful to still be making music ... and I hope you find this to be attractive, listenable, and memorable music. There's a lot going on and I appreciate your taking the time to consider making these tunes part of your collection. Bob Bennett (12/16/12).
