Album Notes
Pacific roots and reggae grooves, Afro rhythms, infectious harmony, soul, pop and good vibes: Queensland’s world-class offering has taken the Aussie roots music scene by storm.

Bobby Alu’s third-ever gig was an invitation to the 2011 Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival alongside the likes of Bob Dylan and BB King. He was invited back again in 2012 – testimony to the impression this world-class band makes upon all who witness it. Bobby Alu, joined by highly respected musicians including Paulie B (The Beautiful Girls, George), gained instant notoriety to follow, with a Q Music song award, a showcase at AWME (Australasian World Music Expo), a semi- final award in the international songwriting competition, placement in the prestigious John Butler Seed Management Workshop, other major national festival performances, and support slots with music heavyweights The Beautiful Girls, Katchafire & Blue King Brown. Bobby’s 2010 debut self- titled album sparked immediate following after being aired on Triple J Roots N All ‘Top 10 albums of 2010’ program. The band’s second album is currently in production, ready to burst onto the scene for what already looks to be a big 2013 for Bobby Alu.
