Album Notes
In the 70s, Bob Reuter was in one of St. Louis’ first punk bands, the Dinosaurs. Bob later gravitated to roots-rock and helped build the alt-country movement of the 90s, eventually settling into a classic, sweat-drenched proto-punk sound with Alley Ghost. The band began traveling in 2012 in an effort to introduce one of St. Louis’ heroes to the rest of the United States.

Tragically, as the band had started to establish itself regionally, Bob died in a freak accident while moving into a new studio space on Aug. 3rd, 2013. Bob left behind a body of work that spans a lifetime. Poetry, literature, photographs, and of course 100s of songs. His band, Alley Ghost, has decided to continue what Bob had started at the age of 60, touring the country in an effort to get hit songs heard. Alley Ghost isn't a tribute to Bob, it's Bob's legacy. A promise not just to keep his art alive, but his spirit as well.
