ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Born in the woods, raised in the city, Bone started writing songs after cutting his teeth in a number of garage bands in his hometown of San Francisco."Cootes possesses a talent for the sonically offbeat, creating colorful soundtracks for his humorous depictions of city living"(EBE).
Recruiting some of the finest musicians in the bay area, he recorded his third album, "Blow Out The Curses" in 2012 in the heart (loins?) of the Mission district. "Bone Cootes deftly navigates a six string sonic circus parade through the gutters of the 21st century urban swamplands"(LM).
He started playing guitar at 13, after the family dogs destroyed his drum kit. "Dangerous and funny" (BANG).
The 12 songs herein deal mostly with affairs of the heart and fickleness. Also, there's a iittle bird and a trucker...
