ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
One day about 15 years back, my dad (Johnny Gimble) said he was going to Oregon to participate in the Booher Family Music Camp (www.boohermusiccamp.com). Mike and Dolores Booher have eight children, all who play music. I thought, "Cool." Now, I think "Wow!" The four youngest of these "kids" (I know Mike and Dolores will always think of them so) have matured into an accomplished swing/cowboy/gospel ensemble. They sing and play with the joy and love for music that reflects the joy and love they have in their Savior. Gabe's smooth vocals, groovin' rhythm guitar and comical cuttin' up, Brendan's sweet, jazzy tenor guitar and fiddle licks, Benjamin's (I call him Ben-jammin')rock solid swingin' bass lines, and Meriwyn's powerful vocals, rhythm guitar and classy clarinet, all topped off with their tight vocal harmonies add up to a delightful treat to the ears. A little "frosting on the cake" is older bro Chris Booher's (two time Grammy award winner, boogie man for Asleep at the Wheel '96-'99) artistry on the keys.
