ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Cain and his band released 3 new albums in 2010! The first,"DEMOcrat Vol. 1- Songs from Tunnelvision", is the first full-length B.E. CD since 1998's, "The Queer Punk Folder". There is a swing and an easy to these new recordings, owing to their "demo" sensibility. "I didn't want these new songs to be as 'produced' and stiff as, 'In Through the Out Door'-not that there is anything wrong with stiff.", says the groups founder, Tim Cain.
"I have been wanting to get these songs off my chest forever- besides more songs just keep stacking up." The Damski single will be included in the collection, as will new titles such as "The 13th Step"- a reflection on sex addiction; "Platinum Lover"- a tongue-in-cheek Zeppelin-esque ode to our Platinum Card society; "Devastation Suite"- one of the most complex B.E. songs ever released. "This song is like a cross between INXS, Eminem, and Pink Floyd", says Cain. "It is so WILD!" Other songs in the collection are: "The Body Snatchers","Freedom","Metallurgy", "Mr. Sausagefinger" (don't ask),"I Know I Can't Have You","Rock 'n Roll Swisher".
"There is a CD of covers, and a CD of instrumentals. I just finished a new instrumental called, 'Chinese Bells' that is really fun. Plus there is a cover of Bowie's, 'Speed of Life' but I'm not sure which CD to put it out on. It is really cheesy and low-tech." "There is a cover of T-Rex's, 'The Slider' that has a very Love and Rockets vibe. Also,a poppy, arch version of,'Queen Bitch', by Bowie. Then I throw a real curve with an entirely different take on, 'Dude Looks Like a Lady'- the Aerosmith song. My version is more of a drum and bass meets the Cure hybrid."

" I am going to first release all the songs only through CD Baby's Digital Distribution channels. More than anything, I want to get these songs out there, and out of my basement. Later on we will press whatever is popular."
