ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Brad Downs, a Mississippi Delta native, is a singer/songwriter who now calls Athens home. He recently finished recording WINTER BREATHING, his debut album that features "a virtual who’s-who of Athens-based sidemen, scene veterans and rock royalty."

Athens Banner-Herald: Music touched by some local heavy-hitters
"Brad Downs' debut album "Winter Breathing" not only offers eight examples of his raspy-voiced story-songs, but it also makes Athens music history of some note..."

Savannah Morning News: The Philosopher's Music
"Black clad and long-haired, Brad Downs doesn't look like the religion and philosophy professor he was last year. He looks more like the alt-rock musician he is now..."

Flagpole Magazine: Brad Downs leads an all-star cast on his debut album
"So much for an inauspicious debut: instead of a quietly released album of self-penned tunes showcasing his songwriting chops, Brad Downs' debut is a virtual who's-who of Athens-based sidemen, scene veterans, and rock royalty..."

Macon Telegraph: Hailing from Athens, this group of musicians has close ties to Macon
"The album is very laid back and has the feel of your favorite Grateful Dead or Band album. The dobro resonates a haunting, Southern sound..."
