ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This collection is the introductory album of songs by poet and writer Brian W. Foster, known for his best seller "Blackened White". With styles ranging from folk and Americana, to alternative, to dive bar blues, Odessa takes a musical path as veering as its characters. Each track calls up visions of tumbleweeds, abandoned motels, and two lovers with so much passion, they aren't able to express it except through violence and lust. The haunting lyrics of "She Drew Her .45" and "Odessa" show the tension of love and loss, while "Crooner" sounds like the anthem of a traveling con man. "The Wine" is the broken prayer of a man in conflict with himself and his God.
