Imogen's Eyes

by Bridget Martin

Her sound takes in parts country, slacker indie rock, and grubby cherub pop, and her lo-fi DIY attitudes color her as something of a country punk, an unofficial signpost she doesn't mind orbiting.

Album Notes
Bridget Martin's 2009 album Imogen's Eyes was conceived mainly in Vermont through work with local indie-hero Ryan Power. The album showcases the artists' lilting songwriting style and blends bedroom pop and folk.

"Imogen’s Eyes is a remarkable record, through and through.... She is an immensely talented and imaginative songwriter"--Dan Bolles, 7 Days (album review), Burlington, VT

"A pure and piercing voice... Acousitc singer/songwriters may be a dime-a-dozen, but this one has something special" --Andy Hazel, Inpress (gig review), Melbourne

"A friendlier, springtime Cat Power" --Excitement Machine, Adelaide

"A true musician.... Her vocals are rich and tender"--Sam Fell, Inpress, Melbourne

"Bridget's talent is undeniable"--Raglan Chronicle
