Bruce Bishop, who sings "By the Sea (The Yarmouth Song)" teamed up with local musician James Ogden to release a new version of this tribute song to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada.

It was composed and broadcast in 1961 by Don LeBlanc, and was originally sung by Bob Brown for a CBC Radio documentary which focused on the 200th anniversary of this seaside community in eastern Canada.

Bruce Bishop, owner of Bruce Bishop Communications Ltd. (, has enjoyed singing over the years and plans on collaborating again with James Ogden to cover other songs that thematically feature Nova Scotia. The Canadian province has a long history of storytelling and songwriting from its Scottish, English and Acadian cultures.
