Bryan Keith Hernandez is a 22 year old, singer/songwriter from the Bronx, New York who has been singing for as long as he can remember. He has been spending the past few years working towards becoming a true artist in the industry. Bryan is pursuing his dreams of becoming a world renowned musician. Bryan's meaningful lyrics and powerful voice can mainly be described as an old soul singing out through a young man's voice.
Bryan comes from a family that is familiar with musical fame. The singer is the son of Latin jazz and salsa singer Ray De La Paz, who was a member of the Grammy Award-winning band Spanish Harlem Orchestra. Bryan has never relied on his father's connections to further his own career. Instead, he drew inspiration from his family and taught himself to play the guitar and drums. He notes his dad as his hero and inspiration.
Bryan has spent the last 6 years either performing with bands or performing an acoustic solo set, while writing endless original songs. In early 2012, Bryan signed with EvoMusic (David Andronico and Peter Macchia) after performing demo vocals in a studio session. Bryan Keith sang Bruno Mars’s “It Will Rain,” and impressed all four coaches.
Christina Aguilera described Bryan’s style as “signature” and Adam made a desperate plea for Bryan to be on his team, which worked because Bryan ultimately went with Adam. Bryan went on to win the "Battle Round" and the "Knockout Round" bringing him into the live show. The live show consisted of the Top 12 Contestants and Bryan was in Adam Levine's Final 3! Bryan went through to make Top 10!
