ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Boston Symphony Orchestra continues its long tradition of producing excellent recordings of French repertoire with this new live disc of "Daphnis et Chloé" under James Levine, the first on the BSO’s independent label—BSO Classics. This disc joins several other now legendary recordings by the BSO of this mythical tale of love, set to gorgeous, intricate music by Maurice Ravel, the most famous of which is the classic RCA recording with Charles Munch.
