ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Black Scorpio Underground call themselves "sonic terrorists".
Their personnel have played in bands with members of SWANS, SAMHAIN, MISSING FOUNDATION, DAMAGE and the early New York City NO WAVE scene.
Formed sometime at the end of the century, the cranial core of B.S.U. migrated to Los Angeles, from New York in 2001 to go in to deep aural hibernation.
B.S.U. take their creative cue from the cut-up / beat poet sensibilty of Burroughs, Gysin, and P-Orridge, radical poiltics, horror films and serial killers, and their eclectic brew
ranges from industrial landscapes and jagged musical collages to grindcore metal and even goth influenced neo-folk.
Using found objects, traditional instrumentation and manipulated samples, Black Scorpio Underground are out to provoke a response and are unpredictable to say the least.
In 2009 the band returned with an arsenal of new songs and blasted out splits with the likes of ACTUARY, AURAL RESUSCITATION UNIT and ENDOMETRIUM CUNTPLOW.
B.S.U. finished up the year with their debut full length, entitled "ATTICA", a sometimes violent, subversive, quasi-ambient manifesto that loops, dives and shrieks into the listeners tainted cerabellum!
They are disseminators of information...purveyors of the blackened truth. We are all being duped...no justice, no peace!!!

The Black Scorpio Underground
Noisy devastation, industrial agony, and Black Power fists... this is a musical apocalypse! Your worst nightmare now has a soundtrack and if you listen to it while driving, you're gonna turn into Travis Bickle. Standout tracks include Artificial Infestation, NYC 1070, I Saw You Dead, and Eulogy Satanis.

New Noise
Its the soundtrack to the end of the world. If you were to wake up and everyone you know was dead, you would hear The Black Scorpio Underground playing in the background. Filled with digitally beautiful noise and eerie sampling, it is as entertaining as it is unique. One might even call the BSU "the new punk". The album fearlessly plays through breaking the standard of what we typically expect from a full length and is full of surprises. Groundbreaking A+

BRUTAL SONIC BLISS!!
This album screams.............filled with beautiful music/anti-music, noise, and anti establishment themes, this album is an ambient and psychedelic trip into the psyche itself. Epic, prolifc, and fresh, this is a great example of fine experimental music. Must hear: The Rise of Magus. A+
