ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Buddy King Band began under the name "The Blues Hawgs". The band changed the name shortly after Don Cobb and saxophonist David Schrader (San Francisco Saxophone Quartet; Volker Strifler) joined the band, replacing the lead vocalist and giving the band a notably different sound. In a tribute to the former band name, The Buddy King Band called it's first CD "Blues Hawgs". This recording was captured live at Anna's Cantina in St. Helena CA. The band toured up and down the North Coast from Eureka to the Blues clubs in San Francisco, a favorite at Narcotics Anonymous conferences up and down the coast, as well.
