Bugz

by Bugz

The Bugz Project brings a classic blues rock Texas style sound with guitars blazing, a solid bass groove, drums kicking, vocals growling and seasoned International spice and fireworks.Kinda reminded me of Santana. Hendrixy guitar at times. Singer reminds me of a muscular Phil Lynott. Energetic hard rock with a touch of old Thin Lizzy. ZZ Top meets SRV. This has a definite ZZ Top quality to it. Bad Company feel to this band's sound.

Then, the smooth and driving bass playing of George Reiff, who worked with many known artists (Ian Moore; Charlie and Will Sexton, and Ian McLagan & The Bump Band). His last project was with New Earth Mud, Chris Robinson from the Black Crowes latest project.
Bugz project recorded at Jumping Dog Studios in Austin TX. Ron Flynt (20/20), the owner and engineer, was the man who captured it all. Ron himself is a polished pro with a long history in the music world who also plays bass and on two songs with some backup vocals and all keyboards. His first band was 20/20 a recording band with CBS. Kenny Lewis, an established producer/engineer, did all final mixes. Recent credit include Stryper’s "Reborn" which hit the Billboard Charts last fall.
