Buxx was a popular Rochester/Buffalo NY based rock band in the early 1980's. Widely known for their highly energetic stage shows, they consistently packed the biggest regional clubs such as The Penny Arcade, Stage One, Uncle Sam's and the After Dark. Winners of 5 Buffalo Music Awards they released one album "Knickers Down" and one single "Not This Time/Hangar 18" on the independent Panther Records label. The group often opened for touring headliners of the era such as Cheap Trick, Bryan Adams, Blue Oyster Cult, Steppenwolf, The Guess Who as well as local legends Max Webster, Talas and 805. UK music magazine Kerrang called Buxx the "best unsigned band in America" in 1982, the same year they co headlined a hometown Memorial day concert with Duke Jupiter in front of 25,000 fans in Rochester.
Numerous videos of the group can be found on YouTube. In 2012 a 10 song CD was released by Retrospect Records.
This song "Out On The Rocks" was not included on that CD but did appear on the original vinyl version.
