ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
These are the original recordings of my dad Buzz Martin the Singing Logger. Buzz Martin was genuine logger who left the woods in the mid sixties to record and peform the songs he'd wrote about the life of the logger. His Music Became very Popular on the country stations and he was on the Johnny Cash Show. Also in 1976 The Smithsonian Institute Took him back to Washington D.C. For the Bicential Folkmusic Celebration to represent the Northwest. Dad drowned in Alaska in 1983 and his music has not been available for a long time . I'm Buzz Martin's oldest son and i've just aquired the publishing rights to his music and am starting to make it available again. Steve Martin

UNBELIEVABLE TIME CAPSULE
I have a 20th-generation-or-so tape copy of these albums that's so worn-out you can barely hear it. Original copies of each of these records go for about 25 bucks on eBay in decent condition, for a grand total of fifty bones just to hear Buzz sing. It brings a tear of joy to my eye to see these classics available at a reasonable price. This stuff is the REAL DEAL.

Thanks Steve
I'm glad I can get these in MP3's now. I'm Downloading them For my Dad. He just started playing drums again and I know he would love to play along to these songs again. Thanks

Where There Walks a Logger There Walks a Man/A Loggers Reward
My dad was a logger on Oregon's North Coast in th e 1960's. He loved Buzz Martin's music and could often be heard singing "Whistle Punk Pete" or "Sick of Settin' Chokers"...especially when it rained:) When I gave him this CD for Christmas he was thrilled! "I was just thinking about him the other day!" he exclaimed. Thanks for putting it out there for us.

Great record
My dad was friends of Buzz in the early 60's. they logged together on the Oregon coast. I grow on on Buzz martin Lp's
it was a big loss when he passed away.

Where There Walks A Logger/A Loggers Reward
I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He and his Dad have thoroughly enjoyed listening to this album over and over. I only wish we had discovered it sooner! I've been recommending it to the other logging wives in our online community (TheLoggerswife.com).
