According to Mom and Dad
Calista is a name modified from ancient Greek mythology Carradine is Gaelic for little friend
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Callisto_greek_goddess
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Search&search=callisto+greek+goddess&fulltext=Search&redirs=0&profile=default
there was no letter c in Greek Originally it was spelled with a K
The name has done some morphing and in this case it is pronounced Calista cah-lees-tah cuh-lee-stuh like Barista and
astalavista: the phrase said by The Terminator: "Hasta . la vista, baby" (meaning "see you later, baby" in Spanish)
Carradine is Gaelic for little friend
