Album Notes
The first solo album of Chinese classical guitarist Cang Guan.

Cang Guan is one of the leading personalities of the new generation guitarists from China. He studied in the Beijing Guitar Society with Prof. Chenzhi, and completed his studies with maestro Zoran Dukic and Enno Voorhorst at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag, Netherlands.

During the study, Guan already showed his great talent as a concert guitarist. His refine technique along with his extremely romanitic and lyrical approch in playing, are highly praised by masters such as Tan Dun, Richard Egarr, Hubert Kappel, Marco Socias, Jan Depreter, William Kanengiser, Roland Dyens, etc. In year 2008, he won the second prize in the Bangkok international Guitar Competition.

Guan has been very active as a concert performer. His beautiful guitar sound has reached the audience in many countries around the world, including China, Thailand, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg, Sweden, etc. And he's regularly invited to give concerts, masterclasses and lectures in various international guitar fesitvals in China.

"Highest level of musicianship! Apart from his impressive technical skills and very sovereign stage presence, I would say that it is his poetic and sensitive way of performing which leaves the strongest impression on the listener and which makes him stand out among many fine guitarists!"
---- Zoran Dukic
