Album Notes
The Captains : Resurrecting the “Group Sounds”

“Group Sounds”, a rock genre based on the music of such legends as the Beatles and the Who, ruled the Japanese music scene throughout the 1960's. Bands such as The Spiders and The Carnabeats infused the genre with matching outfits and melodies that were distinctly Japanese. Young people of the time danced, got too excited and fainted.

And now!
A band has finally formed to resurrect the Group Sound!
A band called…THE CAPTAINS.

The Captains debuted on Toshiba EMI in 2005 with the album “Shishin Tengoku – Koe wo Shiyo yo” and quickly became one of the most popular acts in Japan. Their immense following is largely due to their live performances, which resemble an anime program come to life:

Clad in matching military uniforms and armed with roses for young lovers, The Captains drive audiences crazy with their fast guitars, comedic talents, and on-stage go-go girls. Be prepared to declare your love and faint!

I can't write any more!
Anyway, HEARING IS BELIEVING! Experience the romance! Love is guaranteed!

The Captains: they come across the water from Far East to America!!

Eleki Guitar/Vocal: Kizuhiko
Eleki Guitar: Hizashi
Eleki Bass: Ted
Drums: Yosuke

"Last Group Sounds" is The Captains' first U.S. CD.
