Carl Drewo was one of the greatest European jazz saxophone players.
This is the one and only compilation of his rare solo recordings.
He worked and recorded with Peter
Herbolzheimer, Joe Zawinul, Francis Boland, ORF Big Band a.m.o.)

The CD “MY FOOLISH HEART” presents a overview over the solo work: The recordings come from several eras : from 1956 as Joe Zawinul was member of the “Carl Drewo Quartetts”, the time with the legendary All Star Big Band of Kenny Clarke-Francy Boland, to the period with Peter Herbolzheimers Rhythm Combination & Brass.

Die Aufnahmen stammen aus verschiedenen Zeitepochen: von 1956 als Joe Zawinul Mitglied des “Carl Drewo Quartetts” war, über die Zeit der legendären All Star Big Band von Kenny Clarke-Francy Boland, bis hin zu Peter Herbolzheimers Rhythm Combination & Brass.
