Nominated for Best Tango Album, Latin Grammys 2012, in Traditional Category.
There are instances when one asks oneself the question how come this artist never recorded an album before? I found myself asking this very same question when I first heard Carlos Bosio singing legendary tangos. If there ever was a voice and a singer who’s style and interpretations are exceptionally suited for tango, it is Carlos Bosio.
His voice is a velvety baritone, and is hard to find a dry eye in the audience after his stirring renditions of romantic and dramatic tangos such as “Nostalgia”, “Pasional”, “Sin palabras” or ”La ultima”.
After featuring Carlos at the Alex Theater in April, and at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Los Angeles in August, in our “Fiesta Argentina 2011” show, with my friend and co-producer Juan Luna, we decided that we couldn’t let this great voice be just forgotten or passed by. Here is the result, “Asi siento el Tango”, Carlos Bosio’s first album. It’s a jewel and a must listen for any genuine tango lover.
