Carrie was honored to perform on Finals Stage as “Best of The Rest” and to be named Best Female Poet for the tournament. She is a member of the 2009 Emerson College Slam Team who finished on Finals Stage at the 2009 CUPSI tournament and placed 4th in the nation. Carrie remains the only female poet to ever be on the team.
Featuring and performing in bookstores, bars, theaters, and colleges from Los Angeles, California to the NorthEast to London, England, Carrie has been described as “mesmerizing, winding her way through the thickets of attraction and disappointment with a machete in one hand and a heart she peeled off her sleeve in the other. She is at once brash and earnest; bracing, but never toxic” (Tom Daley, poet).
