ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes

A diligent line between Bowie-tinged 1970s pop and REM style college rock, Caruso
are one of those Acts hard to pigeon hole. One minute you’re hearing the heartfelt
warblings of the singer songwriter, next thing they’re rocking it out with the best
of them. It’s a perfect marriage between the two and that’s what makes this Dublin
outfit stand out.

'Everything You Need Is Here' is the new album from singer/songwritiner and Tallaght
native Shane Ó Fearghail. Recorded in Ireland and France in 2012 the new album will
have it's official European Release on the 14th May in Dublin. Released by Sad Opera
Records under the Caruso banner, 'Everything You Need Is Here', written and produced by
Shane, follows on from where his first Caruso album, the critically acclaimed
'The Watcher And The Comet' left off.

Labelled as a "Forgotten Classic", 'The Watcher' was a
great success and a huge learning curve opening so many doors in Europe, the States
and beyond. Published in Europe by Fragmento it is loved by all who listen to it!
As an album 'The Watcher' had a more seroius side and a darker feel. The new album
is a more up tempo affair with a collection of songs that have been written to be played
live. 'Everything You Need Is Here' has a confidence and style all its own. With songs like
'Bounce', 'Freak' and 'It's Up To You' it will instantly pull you in.

In fact the album is packed with strong tunes with each song having its own unique
distinct footprint. Having played the songs live around Europe, The States, Australia,
as well as supports to the likes of Ray LaMontagne, Glen Hansard, Damien Dempsey, Jack L,
Sínead O'Connor, John Spillane and The Mission to name drop but a few, the audience
more or less picked the songs for this album... A long test drive if you will!

A deal with Spectrac records in the States to license and distrubute the album in
the U.S.A and Canada as well as movie placements, all before it had been completed,
added further confidence to the new recordings as well as being responsible for
penning one additional track that made the final cut, namely the anthemic ballad 'Try'!

'Everything You Need Is Here' will grab you from the get go. It covers all bases and
will have you singing along in no time to catchy tunes like 'Hey Little Sister',
'All The Kings Horses' and 'Line Of Fire'. Songs like 'Star, Who Came First and
Man Walks Into Doors' - will leave you thinking! This album may even make you
angry with alternative thought provoking ballads such as 'Betty' and
'You Get What You Paid For', a gut wrenching obseravation about the state of the
nation! And there is much more! An album about home and heart these songs
will stay with you and in time and keeping, ensure the writer his due place among his peers.
