Album Notes
Joe A. Caruso is a Brooklyn, New York fellow from Clinton Hill. Mom Josie is an opera buff; Dad Joe could execute any composition on the harmonica. Young Joe A. studied concert accordion at Robotti Studios, commencing at 5 years of age. Mr. Louis Pfiel, a music scholar and teacher, immediately started to groom Joe for the concert circuit. Mr. Pfiel always commented, “Joe has a rare gift, a definite talent.” Joe made his debut in New York City at Town Hall, at ten years of age. Joe was granted a full scholarship to the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music when he was a young teenager. He was considered “an outstanding musician” by all who instructed him and encountered his artfulness and bravura.

Joe was spotlighted as a vocalist and keyboard talent by the Steven Scott Orchestra. An impromptu nightclub performance in Palm Springs prompted the TV personality Hal Linden to comment, “Joe Caruso is an original, a dynamic entertainer, a cosmopolite, the kind you seldom see, a dinosaur.”
