Album Notes
JUST BEING MYSELF is the fourth solo album from singer/songwriter CASSANDRA, whose previous albums "Live at Camp Nashville," "Hold the Sun", and "hiding underneath" garnered praise from the Billboard World Song Contest, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and even Billy Joel himself- "Cassandra is a rarity...proves that the genre [singer/songwriter] is not only alive and well, but that it is still capable of being transcendent." The latest release features production from Edd Kalehoff, the composing/producing force behind The Price is Right, Monday Night Football, Disney, Carnival Cruise Lines, Good Morning America, The View, and artists from Sarah Vaughn and Josh Groban to Faith Hill and Hank Williams, Jr. Featuring a cameo by Chris Botti on the sweeping, romantically jazzy "Je T'aime," the album switches among moods (sassy and cheeky first single "Just Being Myself" contrasts with the bittersweet harp of "Timeless", while movie-ready power ballad "First Kiss" sits alongside celebratory disco groove "Pop That Champagne") while Cassandra's lyrics travel through love, letting go, sensuality, celebrating life, and celebrating oneself, with her signature focus on sassy, witty wordplay.

You've heard Cassandra's music on TV shows like Dance Moms, E! News, Man Vs. Food, Mob Wives, the Much Music Awards, and many more. She's performed her songs and shared her stories with audiences from Jamaica to Germany, Boston to Belize, including a stint as a Borders Books and Music "Artist to Watch" in 2008, and opening slots for Anna Nalick, Dickie Betts, and Ingram Hill.

All songs music and lyrics by Cassandra Kubinski except “New York, I’m Home” and “Je T’aime”, additional composition by Edd Kalehoff.

I love the variations: from dance music (Just Being Myself , Captivity ) to witty songs you find yourself singing along (Literally, On the Sidewalk)! Favorite line: just like homeless people, but with better clothing. Looking forward to seeing some of these songs on MTV or VH1! This album is awesome!!!

Not just a pop princess
I'm not much of a pop or dance fan...usually I find tremendous production values used to draw attention to...not much! But while she can play the pop princess (and certainly LOOKS the part!) Cassandra hasn't given us a Britney or even a Taylor Swift record...her songwriting and wordplay WAY more hardhitting (and her wit lightning quick ...and acid!) Whether she's telling the would-be admirer to "stay in the dugout" or "emanating mace" on 42nd St., her sweet and beautiful voice belies her puncturing of the "stupid and traumatic". Forget "if you can make it there"...' New York, I'm Home'' should be the official Big Apple song....and as an expatriate New Yorker, I was so blown away by that rocker, I almost glossed over her "Literally" song, which ,while hysterically funny...and one of the most touching love songs ever (I hope you're closing with that show-stopper, Cassandra!) There's a varied bag of styles for sure, but almost every track has one lyrical gem after another. I wasn't completely surprised, since her earlier "Textual Healing" (sly reference to that in "Layover") was both brilliant and edgy....but this CD is, if only she weren't a Yankee fan

Awesome cd.
Just got the cd and I loved the various styles of music from the high energy hits to the melodic tones that this cd brings. It great for putting in the car and singing along.
