Album Notes
"...Swings like crazy and performed with enormous energy," Jerry Swanberg, Twin Cities Jazz Society and Big Band Scene (KBEM)

"It’s triumphant..., ...high energy and creative artistry of an ensemble deserving wider recognition."
Andrea Canter, Contributing Editor, Jazz Police

The CC Septet is an exciting new group in the Twin Cities. The group consists of friends who have written and played together for years. Their compostions have been played by the Century College Jazz Ensemble and other local big bands, R&B groups, and local vocalists, not to mention several works written especially for Century's recent tour of China. Their newly formed septet has allowed them to futher explore their compositional ideas inside this tight group of top notch players, to create original music that both entertains and challenges the listener.

The group's first CD, “A Dream of Hungarian Lanterns,” is a compilation of all original music. Tunes from this CD have been featured on Jazz 88 KBEM (88.5 FM in the Twin Cities), and on MPR's Jazz Connection with Maryann Sullivan.
