The Celtic Reggae Revolution's debut album has been worth the wait. A beautiful album, highly original, rich, rootsy and punchy. The appropriate title "Everything Comes To Those Who Wait!" has been an album in the pipeline for 3 years and it contains a mix of reggae, Irish folk, Dub and hints of Ska. It features recording artists such as the renowned and musically gifted Jarlath Henderson (Uileann pipes, Low whistle), Martin MacDonald (Acoustic Guitar), Aly Salam (Drums and Percussion), Spider Mackenzie (Harmonica), Brian Gilligan (Vocals, Banjo, Mandolin and Mandola), Tom Roche (Button Box) Moya Sands (Vocals) and backing vocalists Becka Gauld, Laura Asensio Plaza, Fanny Beloso and Jayne Carmichael.
The Celtic Reggae Revolution have a really unique style that oozes musicality, quality and great songwriting and I honestly can't say I have heard anything like it before. This is a truly dynamic album with dub-like ebbs and flows metamorphosizing from Upbeat Reggae to heavy drum and bass into outbreaks of wild foot-stomping traditional Irish tunes.
Beautifully mastered by the highly regarded Pete Maher of Top Floor Music. Released on St Patrick's Day 2013
