Cesar Orozco (Pianist, Arranger and Composer) was born in Cuba in February 6 of 1980. He began musical studies in 1987. Mr. Orozco Graduated at the National School of Art (ENA) in Havana, Cuba in 1998, major in Violin and Professor of Ensembles. In 1997 Mr Orozco stablished residence in Venezuela, attending an invitation by the Carabobo Symphony Orchestra as a member of the violin section, work that made during 5 years. At the same time Mr Orozco started working as a pianist and arranger, consistently recording with artists such at Biela da Costa, Soledad Bravo,The Super Band Guaco, Andrés Briceño Band, Pablo Gil, Aquilles Baez, Pibo Márquez, Maria Teresa Chacín, Orlando Poleo, Cecilia Todd, Alfredo Naranjo, Frank Quintero, Saúl Vera Ensamble, Saxomanía, Gerardo Rosales, Simón Diaz among others. During the past 8 years Mr Orozco has shared stage with national and international figures like Oscar de Leon, Ilan Chester, Erick Clapton, David Sanborn, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Caetano Velozo and Chucho Valdez. In 2001 Mr Orozco founded and directed the Kamarata Group , project that emphasized his work as a producer, composer and arranger. Mr Orozco has performed extensively in the United States, England, Scotland, Spain, Holland, Argentina and Cuba, featuring his music in important Venues like Bolivar Hall of London, Ámsterdam Bimhuis Jazz Club , and the Pleasent of Edinburgh. Currently, Mr Orozco is the Musical Director, pianist, arranger, and composer of the big show “ Venezuela Viva", award winner at the "Fringe Festival" in Edinburgh, Scotland, considered the greatest scenic arts festival of the world. (www.venezuelaviva.com). The Venezuela Viva Show obtained 5 stars by specialized reviewers from the most important news papers in UK. In addition, Mr Orozco works as Musical Producer and member of Huascar Barradas Band, (www.huascarbarradas.com), as well as the Jazz Trio from the Jazz Temple in Caracas: Juan Sebastián Bar. Mr Orozco’s newest Project is called Cesar Orozco Kamarata Jazz . Cesar Orozco Kamarata Jazz just finished recording its first CD , featuring several Latin American genres and styles. C.O. Kamarata Jazz mixes Venezuelan and Cuban music with Jazz and other modern Hispanic-American music tendences such as flamenco and bossa nova. This Project is a musical summary to all the work Mr Orozco has done during 9 years in Venezuela. Sixty percent of the pieces on the CD are Mr Orozco’s own compotitions. In addition there are works in the CD by important Venezuelan composers like Aldemaro Romero, Henry Martinez, Enrique Hidalgo, and Renato Aguirre.
