Cetan Clawson (Born Cetan Tatuye Wanagi Clawson, November 10th, 1987) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter.
The blues power trio, The Cetan Clawson Revolution, burst onto the Detroit music scene in 2006, regularly performing at nearly every venue and the area’s largest music festivals.
The group has extensively toured the United States, making stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, SXSW festival in Austin, TX, and building followings in cities across the United States.
A Fender-endorsed Artist, Cetan has scored numerous accolades, including the addition of one of his tracks, White Heat, for inclusion on the immensely popular video game Rock Band, alongside fan favorites like Bang Camaro and Gov’t Mule.
Cetan has also played and recorded with some of the finest in the music industry, including Chris Layton (Stevie Ray Vaughan), Scott Nelson (Kenny Wayne Shepherd), Stuart Sullivan (Sublime), Bad Company, Electric Six, The Go, and many more.
Session work has included stints in Austin, TX, and Los Angeles, CA, featuring writing and recording sessions with renowned producer Mike Daly (Plain White T’s, Ryan Adams) and Bleu McCauley (John Mayer, the Jonas Brothers).
So far releasing two albums (White Heat, 2006), one EP (Cetan Clawson, 2009), and The Electric Litany in 2010, the group remains a staple of the Detroit music scene and one of the most exciting groups to emerge from the midwest United States.
