Recorded live as an improvisational prayer, Song of Prayer had no expectations, no agenda and no kingdom to build or sustain. Its sole purpose was and is to create an avenue for worship.
I play three services at a very large church each Sunday. During each service an allotted time is set aside for a quiet time of prayer; coming before the Lord. With each service I play quietly and was inspired to record music that others could pray along to.
It wasn’t until a particular Sunday where the pastor’s prayer absolutely electrified me. There was a spirit of authority, of pleading yet of admiration, a humble passage yet with strong conviction. Later to find that he was reading from the Valley of Vision book. A collection of Puritan prayers and devotions.
It was then I realized I needed to obey what the Lord was telling me and record a song of worship. With no preparation or thought as to the program, a very dear prayer intercessor anointed my hands with oil, we prayed and then I literally placed my hands where I felt led. I claim not a single note of this music as it is truly the Spirit flowing through me.
My heart’s desire is that it will minister to you. Allowing you to enter into His courts with both praise and petition. Please let me know if this has been a blessing to you or your family. I truly appreciate any thoughts you would like to share.
