ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Factor 6 starts out with the moody “my tribal home” arrangement that really sets the theme for the rest of the album with a mixture of compelling West African beats, sound beds and found sounds. The song moves quickly and creates images of primal worship and longing. Domination is a musical battering ram with energy to spare and creative synth and programming work. Hebrew John is a sci-fi presentation of the Gospel of John in Hebrew…close your eyes and just dream…the title track is an industrial drum and bass montage that will get you moving your feat and elevating your heart rate! Tribes of Heaven is another one of the CD’s more ethereal sci-fi soundscapes that should be use to spark creativity! Drum Farm is all the left over drum tracks from the post-production layered into a single drum and bass tribal extravaganza…

Chainsaw Weasel has been rocking the Internet since the early days of MP3.com where he was often seen topping the Hard Dance, Techno and Freestyle charts with songs like Origins, Itch I Can't Scratch and Don't Just Stand There. Originally a collection of live performances the concept has evolved into thematic albums with a heavy reliance on supercharged loops, beats and spoken word arrangements. Chainsaw Weasel has most recently released Factor 6, a ground-breaking, ambiatronic, sci-fi tribal album that features a wide assortment of both heady strings, found sounds and deep pads.

Chainsaw Weasel, aka Tony Vilgiate, is also an accomplished bass player who has recently returned from a ministry tour in Scotland with the Pattersons and many regional engagements supporting established Christian musicians and artist such as Todd Warren, John David Webster, Rick Kendrick and Barry and Michelle Patterson.

Steel Guitar I feel, should have been left out.
The Album as a whole is very well done, and can really place you in a realm of your own, that is the case until you get to the middle peace number 6. The name sake of the album, I feel should have been left out, at least the Steel Guitar, very obtrusive sound for such great mind setting album.
