Colors of Christmas
Chameleon Brass present their new CD for the festive season. Containing a diverse collection of tracks often heard over the Christmas period, some familiar, some less well known. This CD includes some new arrangements never before heard, including two tunes from ‘Lieutenant Kije’ by Prokofieff including the famous ‘Troika'.
Also of note is a beautiful rendition of the traditional carol, ‘Infant Holy, Infant lowly’ arranged by Roger Harvey as a flugel horn solo, and played masterfully by Matthew Wells. Another Harvey arrangement on the disc is striking version of the ’Coventry Carol’
A bonus track on the CD is a new version of the 'Canzon Due A Decimi Toni a 10' by Giovanni Gabrieli, arranged by the groups trombonist Steve Thompson. Taken from the groups digital only single 'Canzon', this is the first time this arrangement can be heard on CD.
