"Champagne Charlie, whose mastery of American Blues and Folk tunes from the '20s,'30s and 40's would make them one of the States top roots bands if they weren't from the Netherlands". (Dave McGee; The Bluegrass Special)

"An excellent Dutch string band. They authentically revive the music of the period". (Juke Blues)

"Who says the blues is strictly an American invention? These Dutch fellows in Champagne Charlie swing and moan with the best Delta folks" (Dirty Linen)
