Album Notes
"Down The Doors" is the third studio album from San Francisco Bay Area electronic music group Chance's End. In this release, songwriter Emily Zisman joins the group with her soulful blues-infused voice, adding to the violin-electronica sound of the group's first two albums. This latest album brings a heavy focus on lyrical songwriting and lush orchestral string backings on a bed of trip-hop and downtempo breakbeats. Classical violinist Ryan Avery started Chance's End in 2000 to help expand the violin's presence in electronic music, following in the footsteps of groups like Hybrid Sound System, Beats Antique, and Groove Armada.

Vocals by Emily Zisman, violin by Ryan Avery. Bandoneon on Dragonfly by Ben Bogart. Bass on Gravity by Jeff Drudge.

Well Done!
This third album by Chance's End is just great. Ryan Avery has done a terrific job with the overall production of it, and his violin playing mixed with this style of electronica has turned into something truly unique. Emily Zisman's beautiful, pristine vocals soar over the mix and create a sense of unity with the violin. Great job!

A perfect combination of violin and electronics, upbeat and downbeat, groove and flow. The addition of Emily's vocals to this CD take chances end next level. Love it.
