ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Following the dissolution of the "band" Phil and Chuck retreated to their respective caves of creativity, to record beautiful songs of late night wandering and dreamy pondering. The resulting CD is a rich tapestry of color and feeling culled from quiet introspection, expressed through a variety of acoustic and electric instruments; some songs written alone on acoustic guitars and others the result of improved collaboration between the two. The tone and sentiment is somewhere between Barlow and Low, slow to mid-tempo pieces that both assuage and stir, continually growing on the listener with each encounter.

the boy tim

mere beauty stripped-down to an essential core of human expression
I have had the pleasure to know these artists firsthand, and even moreso, to breathe the same breath they do. In my opinion this representation of chicken only scratches the surface of what these individuals have captured and are selfishly harboring in the vaults of their own home recordings. Please do your best to urge, beckon, and beg for more from the depths of Eugene, Oregon's acoustic folklore.... . .

Two sensual, wise, gentle men that make beautiul intimate music
This is a beautiful intimate CD that i have been very close to........feeling as if a beautiful man lay with me, whispering/singing in my ear ......close and gentle.........relating to me the mystery of being ........ comforting me softly....... and turning me on..........deeply

StealthySleuth

Powerfully touching & great weaving of lyrics into music
This is a well-thought out mosaic of smoothe listening and fine lyrics creating a rare and cherished album. September and Strike your heart really got the goods and are my favorite.

pull up a chair and stare
first two words that come to mind are mellow and dreamy. this is good ole rainy weather, introspective music that makes me want to grab a bottle of whiskey, pull a chair up to the fire and stare at the flames for the duration. i LOVE the combo of electric guitar flickered over top of acoustic strumming. and i also love shit like a song repeating "it's not over, it's not over"...and then it ends...abruptly. the first comparison that comes to my mind is elliot smith.
