ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Finding its roots in the Hebrew language, the word “Chîslon” (pronounced kis-lone), means “strength, and hope and confidence.”

The album “Trees” is the inaugural album of a Seattle duo specializing in acoustic-electro sounds promoting environmental transformation for the listener. Wandering the magnificent forests of the mountains and waters of the Pacific Northwest provided inspiration. Here, fir trees loom in ghostly majesty, shrouded by a misty fog on the westward slopes of the Cascade Mountains. The brilliant amber roots and branches of the Madrone cling tenaciously to the rocks, perched precariously on the rugged coastal sea cliffs. The towering Sequoias of the southern Oregon coast celebrate their status as the largest living organisms on earth. The striking images and personalities of the trees that live here have found their voice in these ancient ambient acoustic melodies and ethereal electronic sounds.

The earthy, acoustic songs of harp and cello, instruments crafted from the deepest heart of hardwood trees, are woven together with thoughtful technology to bring the listener to a place of rest and healing. Come to the forest. Know its strength. Learn of its hope. Feel its confidence. Experience “Chislon.”

Blessings-
