ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kicked around the New York club scene, playing jazz. Sometimes there were eight of us, but usually we were just a nucleus of four. Back then, Tommy was better at the Keys; I was better coming up with melodies so Artie had me playing the Sax, and when my lips got tired, I'd switch to the Clarinet that we'd mike. Not much money for an unknown musician, I paid the bills by being an agent's assistant for a Rock n Roll booking agency. It was like working in a den of wolves, but the back stage passes to the Garden and Academy were fun. Learned to play the blues by dating New York women. A guy with no money has a better chance getting affection from a brick. I stuck with playing music, some years it was just a hobby. Disappointed with today's music... tired of listening to adolescent lyrics, and repetative uninspired arrangements. So, I organized some people who connect with each other in almost a psychic way to harmonize... and that is the key to this music... harmonize. This music can be played in the background... to help you work...or to help you sleep. Some of the songs are quite rousing... like Jabooki... but others are beautiful, laid-back Jazz. Listen to them... your mood will be enhanced.
